Foundation Information

The RUMC Foundation, Inc. currently has 42 endowments in its portfolio, and these perpetual sources of income enable the Foundation to fulfill grants that directly benefit both Roswell United Methodist Church and our mission partners.  Since our inception in December 1991, we have funded over $1 million in grants.

Recently, The RUMC Foundation grants have:

  • Provided emergency relief funds to flooding victims.
  • Paid for counseling sessions when those in need cannot afford such help on their own.
  • Supported college students with scholarships.
  • Assisted with the costs of our life-changing confirmation retreat for youth.
  • Contributed to the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) that provides humanitarian relief when war, conflict, or natural disaster disrupt life to such an extent that communities are unable to recover on their own.
  • Provided support to mission partners around the world.
  • Much more!

Proceeds from the Malone Dodson Golf Tournament support the operating expenses of The RUMC Foundation, Inc. allowing the Foundation to utilize its endowments for their designated purposes.

endowment (en-dou-muhnt) n. –
permanent fund bestowed upon an individual or institution to be used for a specific purpose.

The RUMC Foundation, Inc.'s endowments are funded through direct donations, planned charitable gifts such as bequests and trusts, and investment appreciation. Because the primary asset base is preserved in perpetuity, Foundation donations are gifts that keep on giving.
